Judith and Nipuna

For my wedding, I had the opportunity to play with both traditional and modern motifs as there were two different receptions held over two days. I came up with a different set of collateral for each occasion.

As part of the chinese tradition of the bride’s family providing a dowry before the wedding, I customised the box that contained the sewing necessities that were meant to accompany the miniature prosperity items.

Day 2: This mirror frame had once held one of two mirrors my mother had in her dowry when she married my father. Having broken the mirror a few years prior, I had kept this frame and decided to repurpose the backing glass to create a centrepiece for the reception table.

An assortment of the collateral designed for Day 1 and Day 2.

Day 1 invitation: This was designed for relatives and family attending the traditional tea ceremony and banquet. A custom logotype bearing our names in gold debossing was printed on cream paper and envelopes.

Day 2: A sample of the event passes that we used as gifts for our guests
